About Us

The Mackinac Technology Company

The Mackinac Technology Company applies the science of spectroscopy to develop technologies that manage electromagnetic energy, making products that support good health and wellbeing. Mackinac’s team of scientists and engineers work with research institutions and other partners to create innovative technologies for applications in building energy efficiency, blast mitigation, and transportation. We develop technologies and transform those technologies into useful products for residential, commercial, and government buildings, consumer electronics, and mobility applications to improve the health, comfort, and safety of people’s everyday lives.

Mackinac was established in Michigan in 2007, and today the company has a manufacturing plant in the Mississippi Delta and an international company, Mackinac GmbH, in Dresden, Germany.
